C|N HOME TOUR: TEA TREE PROJECT
After 25 years' experience in the building industry between them, brothers Sam and Ben Van Deuren of VAND Builders, still get a thrill out of building beautiful, quality homes their clients love.
However, their recently completed Tea Tree Project is one of their most special yet – and one they will personally get to enjoy for years to come.
The three-bedroom home in Ocean Grove on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula was built with love for their parents, Peter and Virginia, who wanted a Palm Springs-inspired, tropical oasis.
Designed by Holman Design and with interior decorating by Mel Wilson, the abode is as striking as it is unique with tropical wallpaper, breeze blocks, a pink front door and of course, architectural concrete pieces by Concrete Nation.
The couple opted for our Aura Pod in Snow White, a Halo Basin in Dusty Pink and an Arc Basin in our soothing and on-trend Mint hue.
“It’s the third build we have done for our parents and I think it’s the last as they are pretty content with this house,” Sam tells Concrete Nation.
“They always wanted a Palm Springs, courtyard-style house and something a bit different to the norm with the tropical wallpaper, and breeze blocks.
“It went a little over budget, but it was really nice to work with them to give them what they wanted.”
