INSIDE A REIMAGINED 80S BEACH PAD

Here at Concrete Nation, we love a transformation.

We particularly love it when the owner has brilliant taste and includes our handcrafted pieces in the renovation to help give new life to an existing space.

Such was the case when our client Kylie Anning decided to fully gut her 1980s apartment at beautiful Burleigh Heads on Queensland’s Gold Coast and rebuild it – with the help of Smart Joinery - and style it herself.

Kylie chose our Oasis Bath in Snow White, and bespoke vanities for the project which worked back perfectly with the all-natural materials in an organic colour palette.

“I particularly wanted to achieve a seamless finish in the bathrooms using a Marmorino plaster finish applied by Byron artisan Josh Campbell,” she told us.

“This organic eggshell finish was the inspiration for the Concrete Nation Oasis Bath as the materials melded so well together.

“All cabinetry was created by myself and crafted by Smart Joinery. The pale blonde oak veneers used throughout create the most relaxing ethereal space perfect for down time or entertaining.”

Better yet, you can live your best coastal life and stay at this apartment which is now available for holiday rentals on Airbnb, which you can see here.
