INSIDE MICHAEL + CARLENE DUFFY'S DREAM HOME

A meticulously crafted statement piece, our freestanding Tropez Basin is a striking work for art for a luxury bathroom or powder room.

Needless to say, we were proud to handcraft this Tropez Basin in Red Iron for our talented clients, Michael and Carlene Duffy of Cedar and Suede, for the last stage of a decade-long renovation of their resort-style family home at Tallebudgera on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Known for her bold colour choices, it was no surprise that self-confessed ‘maximalist’ Carlene fell in love with our Red Iron hue for the Tropez basin, the hero of powder room of the property, which they share with their two children, Paddy and Stella.

“I opted for the Concrete Nation basin simply because I saw it one day and it was love,” interior stylist and former The Block contestant, Carlene told Concrete Nation.

“The powder room is a very small space and I knew the basin was the hero the space needed.

“The colour red reminds me of red earth and that paired with the nude of my walls creates this beautiful warm afternoon glow that makes my heart explode.”

The highly-anticipated reveal of the final stage of their renovation project was unveiled on Channel 9’s Ready, Set Reno on June 6 and as you can see below, the mid-Century modern-meets-Palm Springs abode, nestled amongst the gum trees, is as beautiful as it is unique.

Congratulations, Michael and Carlene!

We were thrilled to be part of your journey.
