We can't get enough of Cornerstone Stores, the architecturally designed boutique retail and office precinct nestled in the little green pocket between Tugun and Currumbin at the southern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Designed by Brisbane-based architecture practice, Richards and Spence, Cornerstone is a very welcome addition to the Gold Coast shopping and café scene and is home to independent boutiques and stores like The Borrowed Nursery, active wear store Prae, Quince Fromagerie, women’s boutique Kind Curations and the seriously good, Stable Coffee and Kitchen.

Concrete Nation created a custom vanity for the bathroom, which we are incredible proud of.

“The architects, Richards & Spence, came up with the initial design and the builders, Cru Collective, came to us to see if we could bring the design to life,” says Concrete Nation’s General Manager, Kate Lett.

“The brief was they wanted the concrete in its most raw and natural form and wanted to see all of the imperfections that are possible with concrete. We also played around with some custom colours for them and they ended up choosing a custom, light French grey colour.  Jason created mould for the design and our guys hand-packed the concrete into the mould [instead of spraying it], which helped give it the imperfections.”
