WE are so grateful for the support of our stockists and clients from all over Australia and it is our pleasure to introduce you to Edmunds Interiors.

The chic interior design studio and retail showroom, located in the beautiful Mudgee region of New South Wales, was founded by proud second-generation ceramics retailer and third generation interior decorator, Kylie Edmunds, in 2015.

With a passion for tactile, beautiful finishes and the innovative nature of the design industry, Edmunds sources the latest trending products from a broad range of prestige suppliers and manufacturers, resulting in a carefully curated range of unique products - including handcrafted pieces by Concrete Nation - provided exclusively to the region of Mudgee.

“Having been fortunate to have spent a career spanning more than 20 years in the hard surface Industry, I later fell in love with softness and tactile nature of the textiles and soft furnishings,” she tells Concrete Nation. “Bringing them together has brought an element of cohesiveness to our projects.

“We are passionate about design.  Our intuitive approach enables us to work cohesively with our clients, turning their vision into a beautiful and practical reality, unique and distinctive, on time and on budget.”

Here Edmunds chats trends, architectural concrete and her go-to suppliers with us:

Lets chat about tile trends. What are we seeing a lot of demand for at the moment?

We are so excited that there has been a return to colour and texture! There’s a shift towards the handmade, the unique and the bespoke; small business is where it’s at now!

In a world that is filled with mass produced items, we are finding that our clients are looking for that touch of individuality to create a space that feels like an extension of their personality, an expression of them.  They are searching for that perfect statement piece.

We love collaborating with businesses like Concrete Nation, Soktas, Vulcano Design who enable us to provide these statement options exclusively to our clients.

What are your thoughts on architectural concrete in interiors?

The use of concrete basins softens a minimalist space and creates balance between finishes.  We especially love to combine concrete basins with custom timber cabinetry and statement lighting to create interest and add layers, which integrate the textures.  The way that the basins absorb light creates an organic element that is not met with other options like gloss porcelain basins.

You showcase our handcrafted pieces in your showroom. Do you have a favourite Concrete Nation piece?

I don't have a favourite; the variety of shapes, formats and colours on offer provide options for almost every project.  We are looking forward to seeing the Oasis Bath installed on a local project in Butlers Circle in the very near future.

I know Mudgee has thriving food, wine and music scenes but can you tell us a little about the design space in Mudgee. Who are some of your go-to suppliers aside from Edmunds Interiors?

We are grateful to be supported by local custom builders architects and designers.

Liv Johnson Design, Penney Constructions, Natural Build and On Point Building Design are local businesses who have been wonderful supporters of Concrete Nation.

If you’re in Mudgee, pop in and see this beautiful space.
