INSPIRING SPACES: SANTA CLARA 1728

AS our loyal clients would know, we draw much inspiration from our travels and it does not get more inspiring than one of our favourite hotels, Santa Clara 1728 in Portugal.

Housed inside a reimagined 18th century palace in the enchanting old cultural quarter of Lisbon, Santa Clara 1728 has the charm of a bed and breakfast combined with the personalised service and chic décor of a five-star hotel.

The brainchild of hotelier Joao Rodrigues and architect Manuel Aires Mateus, this six-suite boutique hotel is an interior lover’s dream with limestones staircases, wooden floors, French windows, spacious, light-filled suites, freestanding limestone bathtubs, limestone basins and an inspired dining space where the owners host communal dinners which are open to all guests.

If you’re dreaming of a European summer this year, consider this design-led boutique hotel, which is located right by Fiera de Ladra, Lisbon’s flea market.
