INSPIRING SPACES: HYDE PARADISO

Hyde Paradiso_12m Bar.jpg

Here at Concrete Nation, we really do appreciate a considered, photogenic space so we just had to pop in and take a look at the decor and design at Hyde Paradiso, the very first Hyde venue outside of the United States.

And we liked what we saw.

A partnership between Accor and iconic US lifestyle hospitality company sbe – behind celebrity-favourite brands including SLS, Delano, Mondrian, Hyde, The House of Originals and The Redbury Hotels - this ultra-chic Gold Coast restaurant and bar is located within the Pepper’s Soul hotel at Surfers Paradise.

Killer cocktails, yummy Mediterranean bites and good tunes aside, we loved how acclaimed Australian designer Carlie Milosevic [nee Waterman], the talent behind Sydney’s Hacienda, transformed the space with greenery, a peach, white and blue colour scheme and Italian materials such as mosaics and terrazzo.

We particularly loved the internal archways - hello, living room inspiration! - and striking 12-metre pink terrazzo bar, which was the perfect spot to sit and enjoy an artisan cocktail - or two.

If a European summer isn’t in the budget this year - renovations can defintely be a holiday killer - then a long lunch at Hyde Paradiso could be the next best thing.
